I decided to talk to Ralph.
Recently, I had decided to start asking around for a business coach. I realized I needed a business coach after losing my steam about creating a business. I had wanted to get the word out about obedience classes being for humans, not dogs. I thought dogs would be beating down the door to drag their humans to obedience classes.
Ralph is my outdoor friend but I don’t know what animal he is because I never see anything but his eyes.
I explained the story about the business coach and how I didn’t think I could get out of the yard to meet the coach mountain lion.
Ralph blinked at me. “Maybe you need to find a new business coach?”
“But I just found this one! And this was hard enough to find with the quails being so uncooperative.”
“That business coach, however, is inaccessible is to you. So you need to find one that you CAN work with.”

“Maybe you need to ask the quails again,” Maddie, my packmate said.

“Ask the quails?”
Maddie nosed the ball around. “Well, they knew about the mountain lion, maybe they’ll know of someone closer.”
I put my head down. “But it took me so long to get to them in the first place, now you’re telling me to go track them down again?”
Maddie shrugged. “You’re the one who wants a business coach.”

I was still staring out the window wondering how I was going to get to the mountain lion coach without leaving the yard. “What do you mean?”
Maddie shrugged and pushed a ball with her nose. “Well, maybe there’s someone closer you can work with. Someone you can reach from the yard.”
“Someone closer,” I mused.
Maddie rolled the ball around. “Or…”
