“You got to keep doing it,” Maddie, my packmate said.
Recently, I had decided to start asking around for a business coach. I realized I needed a business coach after losing my steam about creating a business. I had wanted to get the word out about obedience classes being for humans, not dogs. I thought dogs would be beating down the door to drag their humans to obedience classes.
The squirrel told me the quails could help me find a business coach, but so far the quails weren’t letting me approach them, much less talk to them.
“But I hid all day,” I said. “The quails had plenty of time to come to me.”
Maddie snorted. “One day? You think it’s that easy? You got to keep doing it if you want to see results. It doesn’t happen that quickly.”
I dropped my head into my paws. “So I got to keep doing it?”
Maddie rolled her eyes. “Of course. Consistency, that’s the key. You got to be consistent in what you do if you want to see results.”

I put my plan into action to have the quails come to me.
I hunkered down in the yard. But that didn’t seem to work. Maybe the problem was they could see me. So I found some long grass and made a nest in the middle of that.
I waited so long I took a little nap. It’s pretty warm here in Arizona, especially in the sun. When I woke up, still no quails.
What else could be the problem? I’ve been quiet, I haven’t chased them, I’ve stayed in the same place for a long time. They should have come up to me by now.
I’m missing something…
